Brooklyn Graveyard Robber Steals 50 Mausoleum Vent Covers: Cops

Police released photos of a suspected mausoleum marauder they say stole 50 bronze vent covers from the Beth Olam Cemetery last month.

CYPRESS HILLS, BROOKLYN β€” Police are hunting for the graveyard robber ran off with mausoleum doors and bronze vent covers.

The mausoleum marauder crept into the Beth Olam Cemetery at 2 Cypress Hills St. on April 19 at about 4 p.m. to take seven doors and 50 vent covers, police said.

A 66-year-old cemetery worker saw the suspected thief β€” whom police describe a man in his 30s wearing a blue hoodie and dark pants β€” jump into a var and drive away, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect Monday night and asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the NYPD.
