Brooklyn Man Gets 7 Years For Forcing Teens Into Prostitution: DA
Blake Cherry told a 14-year-old girl he would help her become a model, then forced her to have sex with strangers, prosecutors said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A man who forced terrified teenage girls to have sex with him and strangers for money now faces less than a decade in prison, officials said.
Blake Cherry, 25, was sentenced to seven years for bullying two teens into prostitution after he promised them modeling careers and shopping sprees, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
Cherry lured a 14-year-old girl from her Connecticut home in April 2016 by reaching out to her on Facebook, telling her he was a photographer, and promising to help her launch a modeling career, said prosecutors.

The girl took a Greyhound Bus to Port Authority and followed Cherry to his East New York home, where he informed her he was not a photographer and she was not going to model, prosecutors said.
Cherry made the girl to sleep on a sofa in his bedroom — where he slept with his girlfriend — and forced her to have sex with men who responded to his ad on Backpage.com, said prosecutors.

Cherry then gave the teen to Quayshaun Canady, who made her to have sex with strangers in a Brooklyn motel until she became sick, then gave her back to Cherry, prosecutors said.
The girl finally escaped to a shelter, whose employees helped reunite her with her family, said prosecutors.
Months later, Cherry ensnared another teenage girl whom he lured to his home with the promise of a shopping trip, prosecutors said.
Cherry fed the 15-year-old girl drinks, then took pictures of her which he posted on Backpage.com, said prosecutors.
The girl told Cherry she was scared, so he took her into his basement and raped her, prosecutors said.
Cherry then shoved her into his car, drove her around Brooklyn and Queens and made her have sex with strangers, said prosecutors.
The girl snapped a photo of his license plate and sent it to a family member, who called police, prosecutors said.
Cops rescued the teenager moments before Cherry was about to put her in his car and drive her off to another job, prosecutors said.
Cherry was convicted of sex trafficking and promoting prostitution in Brooklyn Criminal Court earlier this month, sentenced to between five and seven years prison, and ordered to register as a sex offender, prosecutors said.
Canady pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution in November and was sentenced to between two and six years in prison in December, prosecutors said.
