Brownsville Father Shot Daughter, Relatives, Then Himself: Police
Police believe Terrance Briggs shot his 1-year-old daughter, stepfather, stepbrother then himself in a triple murder-suicide Tuesday.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Terrance Briggs methodically shot his stepfather, stepbrother and 1-year-old daughter before killing himself in a triple murder-suicide on Tuesday morning, police said.
Brigg’s mother returned to the fourth floor apartment she shared with her family on Riverdale and Thatford avenues at about 5 a.m. only to find everyone inside had been shot dead, police said.
Briggs killed Loyd Drain Jr., 57 in the bathroom of the three-bedroom apartment, his 16-year-old stepbrother Loyd Drain III in his bedroom, and his 1-year-old daughter Laylay in their bedroom before turning the gun on himself, said police.

Briggs left no note, according to police.
The home had a long history of domestic violence that brought police to the family's door a number of times, police said.

Police did not release information about who was involved in the incidents, but the Daily News reported NYPD officers had to break up fights between Briggs and his stepfather at least two times.
“We need anger management in this community,” said Vanessa Swain, 51, a neighbor and friend of Drain Jr., whom she called Big Daddy. “It breaks my heart to see him gone."
