NYCHA Caretaker Shot Man In The Stomach, Police Say
Howard House custodian Nasean Joseph was arrested and charged with attempted murder on Monday, police said.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A public housing groundskeeper was charged with attempted murder after he shot a man in the stomach last month, police said.
Nasean Joseph, 34, who works at NYCHA’s Howard Houses in Brownsville, was charged with trying to kill another man during an argument on March 28, said police.
The caretaker’s victim — who was the friend of a friend — was in critical condition when emergency responders rushed him to Brookdale Hospital, but has since stabilized, police said.

Police arrested Joseph at about 3:25 p.m. Monday and charged him with attempted murder and assault, an NYPD spokesman said.
The city paid Joseph about $34,000 a year to tend to the grounds of the Howard Houses on East New York Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard, city records show.
