Canarsie Man Found Dead Behind Bed-Stuy Building, Police Say

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — The man found dead behind a Bed-Stuy apartment building on Monday morning is a Canarsie resident, police said.

John McGuigan, 40, was found lying on the ground, fully clothed, behind the apartment building at 930 Halsey St. around 10:35 a.m. on Monday, police said.

McGuigan, who lived on East 82nd Street in Canarsie, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, said police.

The Medical examiner will determine the cause of death and police said an investigation is ongoing.
