Dead Woman's Body Parts Found In Canarsie Park: Police
Police found the woman's torso lying in Canarsie Park Monday evening and limbs, which they cannot yet confirm are hers, in bags on Tuesday.

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — A woman’s limbless body was found in a Canarsie park after someone called 911 Monday night and investigators found limbs in bags Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Cops found the woman’s torso off a path in Canarsie Park near East 86th Street and Seaview Avenue at about 6:10 p.m., police said.
The woman was naked and her arms and legs had been cut off, police sources told the Daily News.

At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, police discovered limbs in bags that they could not immediately confirm belonged to the woman.
The woman’s age and identity were not immediately released, but local Robert Clouden, 53, told the Daily News he’d seen the body earlier in the day and mistaken it for a toy — which is why he didn’t call 911.

“I thought what I saw was a doll,” he said. “It wasn’t that big.”
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead in the park and the Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, said police.
The investigation is ongoing.
