Family Dollar Customers Hurl Merchandise And Punch Store Employee, Police Say

Two women are wanted for throwing store items at an employee then punching her in the face, said police.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two women who punched and hurled store merchandise at a Family Dollar employee.

The three women began to argue at the counter of a Family Dollar at 2010 Atlantic Ave. on Aug. 12 around 5:30 p.m., according to police.

The fight turned violent when one woman began picking up items off the counter and chucking them at the 21-year-old employee behind the register, police said.

The woman’s companion then darted behind the counter, grabbed the Family Dollar worker by the hair and punched her in the face, said police.

The two women fled the store and their victim was taken to an area hospital, where she was treated and released, police said.

Police released surveillance photos on Thursday of the two women, clad in pink and gray t-shirts, entering the store.
