Mailbox Fisherman Steals Money From Brooklyn Senior, Cops Say
Police are looking for the man who went fishing in a Brooklyn mailbox and reeled in a senior citizen's check.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Police are looking for the mailbox fisherman who caught a senior citizen's check on his line.
The epistolary sportsman cast his line into a U.S. Postal Service mailbox on the corner of Powell Street and Dumont at about 2 a.m. on Sept. 29, police said.
The suspect reeled in several pieces of mail, one of which held a check that belonged to a 76-year-old man and was later deposited into a stranger's bank account, said police.

Police released images of the fisherman, whom they describe as a man in a white shirt, dark pants and black boots, on Thursday.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.
