Man Sexually Assaults 12-Year-Old In Brooklyn Bathroom: NYPD
A masked man broke into a Canarsie home on Monday, hid behind a shower curtain, then lunged at a 12-year-old girl, said police.

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the masked man who leapt out from behind a shower curtain and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in a Canarsie home.
The suspect, armed with a knife, broke into the home near Farragut Road and Remsen Avenue at about 7:30 a.m. on March 5, then hid himself in the bathroom, said police.
When the little girl came near, he jumped out from behind the curtain, took off her clothes and sexually assaulted her, police said.

Emergency responders later rushed the girl to an area hospital where she was treated for a cut on her right hand, said police.
Investigators are now looking for a heavyset man who stands about 5-foot 6-inches and was last seen wearing a black face mask and gloves, said police.
