Mom Killed, Son Critically Hurt In Brooklyn Car Crash, Cops Say
Shaena Sinclair was killed and her six-year-old son injured when a car jumped the curb they were standing on Tuesday night, police said.

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — A mom was killed and her six-year-old son critically injured when a car crashed and jumped the pavement Tuesday night, police said.
Shaena Sinclair, 33, and her son were hit by a Honda that collided into a Toyota and leapt onto the sidewalk on Remsen and Seaview avenues at about 8:50 p.m., said police.
Emergency responders rushed the unconscious mother and son to Brookdale Hospital where she later died and her six-year-old, who suffered a head injury, was listed in critical condition, police said.

The accident occurred when the 21-year-old driver of a 2013 Honda Accord tried to turn left onto Remsen Avenue and slammed into a 1999 Toyota 4 Runner driving straight along Seaview Avenue, police said.
The Honda hit the Toyota’s front fender, the driver lost control and drove onto the sidewalk, said police.

Both the Honda driver and the 61-year-old Toyota driver stayed at the crash and no one had been arrested as of Wednesday morning, police said.
