Muggers Nab Purse With Jewelry Worth $100K, Police Say
Police are looking for two men who grabbed a bag stuffed with $100,000 worth of jewelry in East New York.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Two muggers stole a purse with $100,000 worth of jewelry inside it, police said.
Two men attacked a 34-year-old woman as she approached her car parked near Linden Boulevard and Van Siclen Avenue around 11:10 a.m. on Aug. 23, police said.
The duo tried to grab the woman’s purse and punched her in the face when she resisted them, said police.

The pair then grabbed the bag, hopped into a white Nissan sedan and sped away, police said.
The woman, who suffered from pain and bruising, told police she had $100,000 in jewelry tucked away in her pocketbook, said police.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspects whom can be seen wearing dark clothing and hoodies.
