Pedestrian Dies After Collision In East New York Street: NYPD
Basid Miah, of East New York, was hit by a Jeep on Conduit Street Friday morning, police said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A young man died after he was hit by a Jeep on an East New York street Friday morning, police said.
Basid Miah, 23, was crossing North Conduit Boulevard at Grant Avenue around 3 a.m. when he was hit by a grey 2007 Jeep Commander, police said.
Emergency responders found Miah lying in the street and rushed him to Brookdale Hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life, said police.

The driver remained at the site of the accident and was not charged with a crime, said police.
