Razor-Wielding Woman Steals Work Clothes, Police Say

Police are looking for the armed mugger who stole a backpack stuffed with work clothes in a Brooklyn elevator earlier this month.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN -- She really wanted that pantsuit. Police are looking for the razor-wielding woman who attacked another woman in a Brooklyn elevator and stole her work clothes.

The pantsuit prowler followed a 25-year-old woman into an elevator near Rockaway and Sutter avenues and whipped our a razor at about 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 17, police said.

The 25-year-old refused to hand over her backpack and got a slash to the right cheek in the fight that ensued, according to police.

The slasher eventually grabbed the backpack, which had $8 and work clothes inside it, and fled the building, police said.

Her victim refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

Police released photos of a suspect — whom they describe as standing 5-foot 3-inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, last seen wearing a beige skullcap, blue jacket, jeans and a multi-colored backpack — Monday night.
