Thief Nabs Backpack Stuffed With $17K In Cash From Unlocked Car, Police Say
The man grabbed the cash-filled backpack from an unlocked car parked on Linwood Street last month, said police.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the thief who stole a backpack stuffed with $17,000 in cash from an unlocked car last month.
The man crept up to a car parked on Linwood Street near Wortman Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 and nabbed the cash-filled backpack, police said.
The suspect, whom police describe as a man in a baseball cap and a white t-shirt, jumped into a black sedan and sped away down Wortman Avenue, said police.
