Woman Hit By Honda Dies In Canarsie Street, Police Say

CANARSIE, BROOKLYN — A young woman was killed crossing a Canarsie Street early Thursday morning, said police.

The 23-year-old was walking across Rockaway Parkway near Schenck Street at about 4 a.m. when she was hit by a southbound Honda Pilot, police said.

Emergency responders found the woman lying in the street and pronounced her dead at the scene, said police.

The 20-year-old Honda driver stayed at the site of the crash, said police.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad continued to investigate the crash and no arrests had been made as of 8 a.m., according to police.
