The group is relaunching its website and showcasing photos, stories, and archives that highlight African American contributions in Buffalo and Western New York, aiming to keep this history accessible for schools, organizations, and future generations.

2. OLV Elementary welcomes new students from closed Catholic Academy (wkbw.com) — Families from Buffalo's closed Catholic Academy of West Buffalo are finding a new home at Our Lady of Victory Elementary in nearby Lackawanna, which has welcomed about 80 transfer students. The school has hired more teachers, expanded academic and counseling support, and launched a family support center funded by the Buffalo Diocese, aiming to provide stability and a faith-based environment for affected Buffalo-area students.

Buffalo man going to prison for his role in narcotics conspiracy (justice.gov) — A 27-year-old Buffalo man has been sentenced to 80 months in federal prison for his role in a fentanyl and cocaine trafficking conspiracy operating in 2024 and 2025. Investigators tied him and a co-defendant to multiple controlled drug sales and a large seizure of narcotics, cash, and a firearm, underscoring ongoing enforcement against dangerous opioids in the Buffalo area.

AEW's 'Dynamite' held a 10 bell salute and tribute to Andy Williams during tonight's event (lambgoat.com) — Fans in Buffalo will have a chance to honor musician and wrestler Andy Williams at a public celebration of his life on September 27 in the city. AEW has already held a ten-bell salute on Dynamite and plans a larger tribute on Collision, giving local admirers multiple ways to remember the beloved "Butcher" from Every Time I Die.
