New Elmwood Village co-working space celebrates grand opening (wkbw.com) — A new co-working space called Skeleton Dojo Social Club has officially opened on the lower floor of 875 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo's Elmwood Village. Designed to feel cozy and flexible, it offers areas for focused work, video calls, and collaboration, and already serves 20–30 members ranging from therapists to remote tech workers and local entrepreneurs.

Reports reveal reasons why N.Y. students aren't in school (spectrumlocalnews.com) — Chronic absenteeism is surging across New York, and data show Erie County, which includes Buffalo, is seeing similar troubling trends as students get older. Advocates link missed school to transportation problems, family crises, suspensions, and mental health struggles, especially for students in poverty. Rochester's new parent center model, developed previously in Buffalo, is highlighted as a way to better support families and keep kids in class.

David Jamison Sr., 57, formerly of Buffalo, New York (solomonswords.net) — Family and friends are mourning David Jamison Sr., 57, who was formerly of Buffalo and passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 22.
