Guided by the department's wellness coordinator, Chance is already visiting officers, with donations covering much of his care, and will undergo extensive training to support staff after critical incidents and during personal struggles.
   

2. St. Jude Catholic Church in North Tonawanda set to close and merge again (wkbw.com) — A North Tonawanda parish is preparing for big changes as St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church is set to close Monday and merge with St. Christopher's, following a new decree from Buffalo Bishop Michael Fisher. 3. 25th National Buffalo Wing Festival 'The Sauciest Party in the World', August 29 & 30 (thevillagerny.com) — Buffalo's signature National Buffalo Wing Festival returns to Sahlen Field on August 29–30, celebrating its 25th year with more than 100 wing varieties, contests, and live entertainment.
