Man Who Raped Sleeping Woman in Bushwick Apartment Arrested, Police Say
Jason Lasry has been charged with raping a 24-year-old woman in Bushwick on Sunday, police said.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — The man who crept into a sleeping Bushwick woman’s bedroom and raped her has been arrested, police said.
Jason Lasry, 38, has been charged with raping a 24-year-old woman in her Bushwick home on Sunday morning around 10:30 a.m., said police.
The young woman was eventually able to fight off her attacker, whom police believe entered her apartment through an unlocked door.

Police released images of Lasry on Tuesday which were captured close to the the woman’s home near Halsey Street and Central Avenue.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said in a press conference that Lasry turned himself in to police Wednesday evening after seeing his picture in a newspaper, DNAinfo reported.

Lasry is expected to be arraigned on a single rape charge in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Thursday.
