Baptist Temple Up For Sale
The New Baptist Temple Church has been put on the market for $8 million.
, on Schermerhorn Street and Third Avenue, has been put on the market for $8 million, according to Brownstoner.
The building, erected in 1894, is on the National Register, but according to the post, it has not been designated a city landmark. The Corcoran listing is mostly bare, save for a mention that the property is a “development opportunity.”
Last year, despite a fire in July that caused damage to the building, to the needy and homeless during Thanksgiving. It’s questionable as to whether that tradition will now continue.
