95/250 Celebration at Big Duck Ranch

Big Duck Ranch

On October 3, 11 AM–3 PM, Friends of The Big Duck and Flanders Village Historical Society are hosting a celebration of the 95th Birthday of The Big Duck and the 250th Anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence. The event will be held at Big Duck Ranch, 1012 Flanders Road (Route 24), Flanders, which is the home of The Big Duck. The raindate is October 4.

The celebration will feature family-friendly activities on the lawn around The Big Duck, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as short revolutionary war films, several non-profit exhibits and a walking tour with the town historian. The Long Island Duck Farming Exhibit in the Victorian Barn will also be open. Folksinger Caroline Doctorow, author of “Big Duck Ramble,” will provide music in the afternoon. Revolutionary costumes are encouraged!
