• Siblings from Suffolk admit using fraudulent loan documents to purchase vehicles, then resell them online for quick cash (newsday.com) — A Centereach man has pleaded guilty in a multimillion-dollar vehicle fraud scheme that used fake loan documents and cleaned titles to resell cars across Suffolk County and beyond. Prosecutors say he and his half brother led a crew of more than 30 people who used straw buyers, forged paperwork, and online marketplaces like CarMax and Facebook to move vehicles and are believed to have netted millions.
