CENTRAL PARK, NY — A man was robbed Tuesday evening inside Central Park by a group of three other men, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, was walking in the park near West 105th Street and West Drive around 5:30 p.m. when he was approached by the group of muggers, police told Patch. The muggers demanded that the man hand over his cellphone and pushed him to the ground, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
The muggers then kicked the man and stole his wallet and cellphone before running off into the park, an NYPD spokesman said. The victim refused medical attention at the scene of the robbery.

Police do not believe the robbery is connected to the Monday morning mugging of a Swedish tourist in Central Park. A 20-year-old man from the Bronx was arrested in connection with Monday's mugging of the tourist, but a second suspect remains on the loose, police told Patch.
