4-Alert Sunday in Mount Kisco and Chappaqua: National Weather Service

The snow is pretty much over—now it's all about wind and cold, blowing snow and wind chill.

The National Weather Service has four advisories out for northern Westchester.

“We’re talking about some very ugly cold on Sunday,” says Hudson Valley Weather. “ Please be sure to dress appropriately… dress in layers, don’t leave skin exposed for extended periods of time. Frostbite becomes a concern in these conditions… and it doesn’t get any better Sunday night.”

  • Today-Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow this morning...then partly sunny with a slight chance of snow this afternoon. Windy and cold with highs around 14. Northwest winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent. Wind chill values as low as 9 below.
  • Tonight-Partly cloudy and windy. Colder with lows around 5 below. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph in the evening. Wind chill values as low as 26 below.
  • Washingtons Birthday-Mostly sunny and brisk. Cold with highs around 14. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Wind chill values as low as 27 below.
  • Monday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening...then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow after midnight. Cold with lows around 1 above. North winds around 5 mph. Chance of snow 20 percent.
  • Tuesday-Cloudy. Snow likely...mainly in the morning. Light snow accumulation possible. Cold with highs in the lower 20s. North winds around 5 mph. Chance of snow 60 percent.
