6:30PM Start for New Castle's 9/11 Commemorative Ceremony
The event will take place at the memorial in Gedney Park.

The Town of New Castle will have a 9/11 memorial commemoration for the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy.
The event is to honor both the people whose lives were lost and the first responders who bravely answered the call to aid and bring comfort to the victims’ families, said Town Supervisor Rob Greenstein.
WHEN: Friday, September 11th at 6:30 p.m.

“We will pay tribute to the bravery and the courage of the first responders,” Greenstein said in a press release. “We will join millions around the country to remember and give thanks. We will also recognize that 9/11 has become a national day of service. We have so many volunteers in our community – in our fire departments, ambulance service, other organizations and those on our volunteer boards. These members of our community are so generous with their time everyday and I look forward to acknowledging their service.”
