Fox Lane Boys Lax Defeat Pleasantville in the Fourth OT

The 5-4 win is detailed here by the parent of a Fox Lane player.

Editor's Note: Yesterday, the Fox Lane boys lacrosse team defeated Pleasantville in an exciting game, ending in the fourth overtime. The following account is a user-submitted item from Mike Stephens, who is the father of goalie Cameron Stephens. If anyone has pictures, upload them here!

Call Fox Lane the new Cardiac Kids. The Fox Lane/Pleasantville game went to four overtimes this afternoon. It was Fox Lane's fourth OT game this season and they have come out on top three of the four occasions. Connor Morris had the winning goal with just over a minute left in the fourth OT - a quick-release, blinding shot from 15 yards out.  Both goalies were on fire and sharp in the cage.

Cameron Stephens had his 100th save at the midpoint of the season (104 as of tonite, with a GAA of 4.4 on the season) and had five clutch saves during the four overtimes, including a heart stopping one-on-one during the third OT.

Fox Lane won 5-4 after coming out on top during the 2nd quarter 3-0. Pleasantville answered late in the 2nd with two quick goals to enter the half down 3-2. Fox Lane took the lead 4-2 in the third quarter, but Pleasantville came back strong in the fourth and tied it with two unanswered for a 4-4 score as regulation ended. Both teams swapped shots (and turnovers) in the four overtimes with both goalies at the top of their game with clutch saves in the OTs.
