After School Class Registration Ends TOMORROW, November 3 at WeeZee-The Science of Play

A Maze In Pottery, Taekwondo, Shake It Up, Engineering, Science and even private piano lessons!

WeeZee – The Science of Play, Westchester County’s only sensory gym, an 18,000 square foot play, fitness and learning facility for children ages 1-12, located in Chappaqua, NY, has opened registration for its popular after school classes for children ages 5-12. With guest instructors representing some of the New York region’s most notable experts, the new classes will start at $100 per six-week session and will begin on November 3-December 12th. Transportation is available upon request and snack will be provided.

Registration for classes is open to WeeZee members and non-members alike.

The new after school classes at WeeZee include:

A Maze in Pottery (Tuesdays at 4:30-5:15pm) – This class is led by the acclaimed Aggie Radzik from A Maze In Pottery!!! Children with have a chance to learn several different techniques of pottery painting. They will create dishes and figurines, both functional and decorative, with some based on famous artists or a period in art history.

Taekwondo with Master Berlow (Wednesdays 4:30-5:15pm) – Master Berlow is a 6th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a former National Level Competitor and an avid practitioner and trainer for over 30 years.

Shake It Up! (Thursdays 4:30-5:15pm) – Learn about rhythm and harmony in this rockin’ music class. Jam with friends, pick up a new instrument, and discover how to play your favorite songs.

Private Piano lessons with the area’s most popular piano teachers - Siepo Sampson and Ronnie Crecco.

WeeZee features a broadened and extensive range of after school programs:After School Zone which includes transportation from many schools throughout Westchester County and runs until 6:30pm; specialty class options, snack time, free and structured play, as well as homework help are highlights of this program. Fun Zone Days at WeeZee feature special programming and activities during all school holidays, early outs and snow days.

WeeZee is the only children’s gym in Westchester County to base its facilities and programs on the sensory-sciences, with a focus on the Science of Play. Through free play, structured group classes and personal training sessions at WeeZee, parents of children who regularly attend WeeZee report seeing significant improvements in their children both at home and at school in regard to their academic, athletic and social performance, as well as boosted self-esteem and self-confidence. In addition, WeeZee features a “merit program” that allows the children to advance through various levels of achievement within the facility and parents are able to observe their child’s progress as they work with sensory coaches to reach specific goals.

The expansive gym at WeeZee is a matrix of large space and small rooms containing a never-ending host of attractions including a “Rainforest” water play room, a “Vibration Station,” an “Oxygen Bar” and “Cyber Action Floor;” as well as Sport Stalls and Reaction Training; and a “Groove Grove” Music Room that’s fully-equipped for a rock band with guitars, drums, a sound studio and a Karaoke room… to name just a few.
