MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. (February 19, 2012) Two Westchester high school bowling teams – Briarcliff and Horace Greeley in Chappaqua – are utilizing Spins Bowl, Grand Prix New York’s state-of-the-art bowling alley, for practice this season.
The teams started at Spins Bowl in November, with tryouts, and will continue for the entire season, which ends mid-February. Spins Bowl offers a convenient location, cutting down on time and transportation costs for participants, and a weekday after-school discounted practice rate of $7.00 per bowler, which includes shoes and 3 games. Briarcliff has approximately 15 bowlers on its JV and Varsity teams, while Horace Greeley has about 20.
“We absolutely love to bowl at Spins,” said Annamarie Marasco, Horace Greeley High School Varsity Boys and Girls Bowling Coach. “We have the opportunity to bowl in a brand new facility and the bowlers enjoy the music and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is wonderful - always accommodating and friendly. At Spins, the JV and Varsity bowlers share lanes and bowl together which allows for team bonding and sharing of skills.”

“Spins is terrific! Most of my players like it because it’s new and not crowded when we arrive,” said John Brooks, Briarcliff High School Boys and Girls Varsity Bowling Coach.
The Spins Bowl Bowling Alley at Grand Prix New York in Mt. Kisco officially opened to the public on November 15, 2011. It features 12 family lanes and 7 VIP lanes that are available to rent for private events. Between frames, bowlers can relax in a beautifully finished lounge area with plush seating and large LCD projection screens and enjoy the recently expanded menu at Fuel Restaurant.

“We’re excited to have the high school teams practicing with us, and hope to start holding competitive matches for them in the future,” said Nat Mundy, Vice President/Director of Marketing at GPNY. “My love of bowling started when I was in high school, so it’s very personally rewarding for me to see the kids here practicing.
