Another Chappaqua Sidewalk Sale, For Sept. 15-17
The event will be the second of its kind this year and will tie in with Community Day on Sept. 17.
Several downtown Chappaqua merchants are banding together to hold another sidewalk sale series, which will run from Sept. 15-17, and coincide with Community Day, the Chappaqua Rotary's annual get together for community organizations in New Castle, which will be held on the 17th.
This sidewalk sale is unusual, as merchants normally hold one in July, . It also comes in the wake of economic hits to merchants, including flood damage, from Tropical Storm Irene. The Friday after the storm hit, to hold a recovery event, which included store sales.

Chappaqua, New York – Members of the community are invited for an opportunity to join in the festivities and take advantage of exclusive town wide savings on Thursday September 15th-Saturday September 17th.
This town wide event has stores such as Desires by Mikolay, Petticoat Lane, Breeze, Aurora, Chappaqua Paint & Hardware, Marmalade, Always the Children, Eye Gallery, The King’s Scribe, Squires, Elegance II, Le Jardin De Roi and many more participating with specials and amazing price reductions. Town newcomers such as Breeze, The King’s Scribe & Aurora are located on lower king street and offer an amazing selection of gifts, tabletop & stationary.

During the Fall Sidewalk Sale, Le Jardin De Roi will be offering a special lunch menu, Aurora have children’s items on sale and offering complimentary cookies & drinks, Chappaqua Paint & Hardware will have 50% off seasonal décor, The King’s Scribe offers a stationary special, Squire’s will have many clothing basics on sale, Petticoat Lane’s exciting array of purses and clothing will be on sale, Marmalade will be offering 25% off furniture & bedding, and Desires by Mikolay will be offering Spring/Summer fashion jewelry at great prices to make way for the Fall 2011 collections! The last day of Sidewalk Sale coincides with Chappaqua Community Day, which features live bands, games, food & entertainment. Dave Bickler (musician from Survivor famous for his ‘Eye of the Tiger) will be performing at the new and improved Chappaqua gazebo. Janet Angier owner of Chappaqua Rocks will be performing as well and her having a stand at Sidewalk Sale offering a special introductory rate for those who sign up for music lessons.
Additionally the Chappaqua Farmer’s Market will be open from 8:30-1:30 at the Chappaqua train station. With all these amazing specials happening on the same day in charming downtown Chappaqua makes it an event not to be missed!
Desires by Mikolay is located at 55 King Street in the heart of Chappaqua, NY. Sidewalk Sale will be taking place long King Street & South Greeley Ave. Community Day and The Chappaqua Farmer’s Market will be taking place at the Chappaqua Train Station. Performances will be held at the Chappaqua Gazebo.
