A Cortlandt man is in custody, Westchester County police said.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Westchester County Police arrested a Cortlandt man on Monday evening, accusing him of the attempted abduction of a woman over the weekend in Mount Kisco.
The victim was walking southbound on North Bedford Road (Route 117) about 11:35 p.m. Saturday when a car pulled up alongside her a little south of the Bedford town line, police said. The driver offered her a ride and the woman refused.
A short time later, further south on North Bedford Road, the vehicle stopped next to the woman again — and this time the driver demanded that she get in the car. When the woman refused, the driver pointed a handgun at her and again demanded she get in.
