Bedford 2020 is excited to announce that in honor of our fifth anniversary, we are hosting the Bedford 2020 Environmental Summit and Solar Action Day on January 31, 2015 at Fox Lane High School.

This will be a special day that reflects all that our community has accomplished over the past five years, and focuses on the important things we still can do. The most exciting news is that we will be launching the Solarize Westchester campaign at the Summit.
The Town of Bedford and Village or Mount Kisco have joined forces and were selected to be one of four pilot communities to bring solar energy to Westchester. The Summit will showcase this program, including lectures and workshops on the “nuts and bolts” of solar as well as future trends in solar nationwide.
Other topics will include energy efficiency, waste and recycling, water quality, backyard chickens and bees, food/agriculture and fuel efficient vehicles. This event will engage all members of our community in a day of education, discussion and networking with the goal of building awareness and driving action among all members of our community -- residents, businesses, religious entities, schools and civic organizations -- to change behavior and protect our natural resources.
