Bedford School District Voters Will Head to Polls Tuesday for Budget Decision
The first budget failed because it didn't receive a supermajority of votes.

Mount Kisco, NY — The Bedford Central School District will go to the polls Tuesday, June to try — once again — to approve a budget for the 2016-17 school year.
On May 17, the spending plan failed to receive a supermajority of the votes required for passage of a budget that was not within the state-mandated tax cap.

Voters will be asked to OK the new $126,804,885 spending package. It is below the tax cap so it will only require a simple majority.
To bring spending down, reductions had to be made to all departments and schools. More than 50 full-time positions will be eliminated under the second budget.
