Bicycle World of Mt. Kisco donates over 50 bicycles and helmets to local families in our communities

Bicycle World of Mount Kisco donated over 50 bicycles to families from the Boys and Girls Club and The Community Center of N. Westchester.

Bicycle World makes holiday wishes come true for families of the Boys and Girls Club and the Community Center of Northern Westchester!

Bicycle World of Mount Kisco donated over 50 bicycles and helmets this season to the Boys and Girls Club in Mount Kisco and the Community Center of Northern Westchester in Katonah. Over the past 4 years, Bicycle World has donated more than 150 bikes!

For the fourth year in a row, Bicycle World has received donations of gently used bikes from the community, as well as taken bikes from their own inventory to donate to families in need. Bicycle World mechanics completely recondition the bikes, replace all necessary parts and insure that the bikes are mechanically sound. All helmets are new and from the store’s inventory.

This year, the bikes ranged in size from 12” kid’s bikes for 2-4 year olds, to adult bikes, and all sizes between. Many of the adult bikes were needed for students to commute to school, and for adults to commute to work.

Bicycle World is very grateful for the community’s support of this worthy program, and honored to be able to help so many families. Bicycle World plans to continue this program in 2016 and will start accepting donations in the fall.
