Bicycle World in Mount Kisco donates over 70 bikes to local families in need
Bicycle World in Mt Kisco donates over 70 bikes to The Boys and Girls Club in Mount Kisco and the Community Center in Katonah for holidays
Bicycle World in Mount Kisco donates over 70 bikes and about 50 helmets to families in need at the Boys and Girls Club in Mount Kisco and the Community Center of Northern Westchester in Katonah.
For the fifth year in a row, Bicycle World has received donations of gently used bikes from the community, as well as taken bikes from their own inventory to donate to families in need. Bicycle World mechanics completely recondition the bikes, replace all necessary parts and insure that the bikes are mechanically sound. All helmets are new and from the store’s inventory.
This year, the bikes ranged in size from 12” kid’s bikes for 2-4 year olds, to adult bikes, and all sizes between. Many of the bikes were needed for students to commute to school, and for adults to commute to work.
Bicycle World is very grateful for the community’s support of this worthy program, and honored to be able to help so many families. Bicycle World plans to continue this program in 2017 and will start accepting donations in the fall.
