Byram Hills Announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Byram Hills High School Principal, Christopher Walsh, proudly announced Alison Lehman as the Class of 2020 valedictorian and Elena Lowe as the Class of 2020 salutatorian.

“Alison and Elena have worked extremely hard during their four years at BHHS and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments,” said Mr. Walsh. “They personify the ideals of academic scholarship, intellectual curiosity, and hard work. They dedicated themselves to their studies and finished at the top of their class.”

Alison Lehman is honored to be this year’s senior class valedictorian. She serves on the Principal’s Advisory Committee, is a peer tutor, and a chemistry teaching assistant. She has participated in cheerleading since ninth grade where she has been drawn toward team building, trust, and fellowship that her sport provided. Alison said, “I believe that Byram Hills has prepared me for college thanks to the hard work and dedication of my teachers.” She will be attending Georgetown University in the fall.

Elena Lowe is honored and excited to be this year’s senior class salutatorian. She is a leader in the eNable Club which focuses on helping the community through innovative biomedical engineering projects and initiatives. She is a member of the Wind Symphony and plays both the oboe and English horn. Elena volunteers at the local wildlife sanctuary and was invited to design and conduct a field study to examine the interaction of pollinators with native and invasive plant species. Elena will be attending Williams College in the fall.

Mr. Walsh, concluded, “On behalf of the faculty and staff of Byram Hills High School, we wish Alison and Elena continued success in the next steps of their academic careers.”
