Cause Announced For Clinton Chappaqua Home Fire

The former first couple own two properties at the location.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — The cause of the fire at the Clinton compound in Chappaqua was a bathroom fan that shorted out. A fire burned part of a building used by the Secret Service on the property of the former president and former presidential candidate.

New Castle Town Supervisor Robert Greenstein announced the cause Friday, the Journal News reported.

Fire extinguishers were used to put out the fire which was located in the ceiling of the second floor of the building behind the Clintons’ home.
