Chappaqua Central School District Budget Proposes Increase
The school district budget for 2017-18 stayed below the state mandated tax levy increase.

CHAPPAQUA-MOUNT KISCO, NY—The proposed 2017-18 budget for Chappaqua Central School District includes an increase of 1.14 percent over current spending.
Total proposed spending for the school year is $119, 571, 688. The proposed increase in the tax levy is 1.6 percent compared to the tax levy increase of 2 percent mandated by the state.
“With 78 percent of the proposed budget going toward instruction, the expenditure portion of the budget is specifically targeted to advance the goals of the district, maintain our commitment to class size, and create a community for learning, where students, parents and staff are joined in the pursuit of academic excellence and personal growth in a caring environment,” said Interim Superintendent Daniel McCann.

The school district will hold an informational hearing on the proposed budget on May 3. The vote on the budget will be held on May 16.
