Making Headway is a charity dedicated to providing supportive care to children with brain and spinal cord tumors, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond, organizers said in a release.

"Making Headway does this through the many programs it funds at the New York University Medical Center to make the hospital stay more comfortable; through its Ongoing Care Program, which supports the children and their families after they leave the hospital; and through its funding of medical research for a cure. Making Headway’s goal is to help ease the emotional pain and suffering children and their families face.
