Ambassador For Peace: How Theodore Roosevelt Won the Nobel Peace Prize Wed., July 20 7:00 pm

This is a little known story of how Roosevelt, as President, demonstrated his unique mediation and diplomatic skills to end the Russo-Japanese War in 1905. Acclaimed worldwide for his uncommon personal style of diplomacy “speaking softly” rather than “carrying a big stick” TR was recognized with the Nobel Prize. Author Stan Wien is a lifelong student of TR and a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Association. Free and open to the public.
