County-Center Hoops: Chappaqua-Mount Kisco Daily Sports Digest Feb. 27

Hoops at the county center

The best in local boys and girls basketball, from Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and southern Dutchess, will be competing at the Westchester County Center in White Plains Feb. 27-March 4 in the Section 1 semifinals and finals for the right to hoist the Gold Ball.

From this neck of the woods, No. 2 's boys basketball squad will play its Section 1 Class AA semifinal contest at 5 p.m. Friday, March 2 against No. 3 Mahopac.

Girls youth hoops

New Castle split it's last two games, defeating Yorktown 27-19 Feb. 11 and falling to Scarsdale 29-20 Feb. 12 which gives it a 7-7 mark in the fifth-grade division of the Tri-County Basketball League.
