The Horace Greeley ice-hockey squad was hitting on all cylinders in a 9-1 triumph against Shepaug Valley Feb. 5 at the Brewster Ice Arena.
Nick Girardi scored four goals to lead the Quakers to victory.

Greeley girls hoops
The below information from its Feb. 3 contest was taken from the Greeley Sports Boosters website:
BYRAM HILLS 53, GREELEY 42
Greeley could not find a way to stop Bea Williams, who torched the Quakers for a game high 34 points, and was handed their 6th loss of the season.
The Quakers were also repeatedly out-rebounded by the smaller Bobcats and and an early first quarter lead quickly turned into a five-point deficit at the half.
Although Greeley's full court press reduced a 15 point second half deficit to six points with three minutes remaining in the game, it could not get any closer as Byram Hills shot an incredible 18 for 20 from the foul line.
Jackie Brett led the Quakers with 16 points and Lindsey Hill chipped in 10 points.
Boys hoop rankings
Fox Lane's boys basketball squad has enjoyed a outstanding winter with a 13-2 record, thus it is No. 10 overall and No. 3 in Class AA in the LoHud Varsity Insider poll.
Horace Greeley is also in on the action, as it was ranked No. 9 in Class AA.
