CHAPPAQUA, NY — Chappaqua school district voters approved the Board of Education's 2017-18 spending plan. The $119,571,688 budget is under the tax cap, a bare 1.14 percent above current spending. In addition, Jane Kimmel Shepardson was elected to the school board, and Victoria Bayard Tipp was re-elected.

The election for Library Trustee was won by Ronni Diamondstein.

There was an additional proposition on the ballot, to reallocate some funds from the $42.5 million bond passed last year. It also passed.

Six candidates were vying for two seats on the Chappaqua school board, which was roiled this past year by the high school teacher sex scandal.
