Chappaqua School District Public Budget Vote Tuesday

CHAPPAQUA, NY — The voters will have the final say on the proposed school budget on Tuesday.

The proposed budget is $133,963,411, with a 2.69 percent increase over the 2021-22 spending package.

School officials said the tax levy will increase by 2.79 percent if the budget is approved by voters later this month.

Two board of education seats for 3-year terms and one seat for a 1-year term are up for election.

One library board seat for a 5-year term, one seat for a 2-year unexpired term and one seat for a 1-year unexpired term are up for election. There are no candidates for the Chappaqua Library seats. The 2022-2023 library budget can be found here.

The annual budget vote and board election will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 17 in the Horace Greeley High School gym. Absentee ballots are due by 5 p.m. May 17.
