Chappaqua Swim & Tennis Finished 5-0 with a perfect season, defeating cross-town rival Willowbrook, which was 4-1 for the summer. We thank Chappaqua coach Dan Levy for the below submission and congratulate Chappaqua on its championship effort:

Katie Duncalf broke her own record in the 18 girls 100 meter backstroke. Katie's old record of 1:08.94 was set on 7-20-10. Katie's new record time is 1:08.69.
Chappaqua beat Willowbrook for the first time since moving up to Division 1 of the Northern Westchester Swim Conference in 2004. It was only Willowbrook's third loss against 42 wins in that same time period. Chappaqua completed its first undefeated season in Division 1 and first since going 5-0 in Division 2 in 2003.

New Castle Swimmers Clean up at Counties
Swimmers from New Castle's various clubs did well at the annual regional swimming event, commonly known as The Counties, which were held this past week. Clubs that did well included , and .
Local highlights included, according to the NWSC:
Chappaqua's Katie Duncalf winning the girls 17 & under 100 yard butterfly.
Birchwood's Tyer Hill winning the boys 12 & under 50 yard freestyle, and also the butterfly for the age group.
Birchwood's Cate Sawkins winning the girls 12 & under 50 yard freestyle, and also the backstroke for the age group.
Chappaqua's Isabella Weiner winning the girls girls 14 & under 100 yard breaststroke.
Birchwood winning the girls 10 & under 200 yard freestyle relay.
Willowbrook's Erica Silverman winning the girls 14 & under 100 yard butterfly.
Birchwood winning the girls 10 & under 200 yard medley relay.
Boys Hoops
Hudson Valley beat Buffalo 80-69 to improve to 3-0 at the BCANY Summer Hoops Festival in Johnson City according to Josh Thomson's post on the LoHud Varsity Insider.
