Dog Who Escaped from SPCA Found, Secured

Neighbors of the facility on the Briarcliff Manor/New Castle border had been warned to steer clear of the unfriendly animal.

The unfriendly brown dog who jumped out of an outdoor run is back at the SPCA of Westchester’s facility after a search that involved police officers from Briarcliff Manor, Ossining, New Castle and Westchester County.

She was tracked with the help of the Westchester County police and eventually came to her owners who were calling her name on North State Road, SPCA officials said on Facebook this morning.

Warned by NIXLE alerts not to approach the dog, which was described as aggressive and not friendly, neighbors of the facility were extra careful yesterday.
