This weekend, MAY 28-29 2011, Shattemuc Yacht Club will be hosting the 2011 NY Downstate Sunfish Regional Championship. Many of the top US sailors in the US Sunfish Class will be competing to win a spot at the 2012 World Championships.
Mark May, one of Shattemuc’s Sailing Academy graduates will be competing for a spot on the US Team.
The races will begin at about 11am on both Saturday and Sunday and will be back to back until approximately 3pm. The event can be viewed along the Ossining Waterfront from Engel Park to the Snowen Avenue bridge.
