Raid the Sanctuary

Join Hudson Valley Orienteering and Westmoreland Sanctuary for the first ever “Raid the Sanctuary” Orienteering Competition.  See full details and registration materials at www.WestmorelandSanctuary.org
- Two Courses: Viking Course (5 plus km length) or Barbarian Course (10 plus km length)- Pre-registration required for participation due by 5pm on July 18.- Check-in from 8:00am to 9:00am on day of event.  Run begins promptly at 9:00am.
- This event is a challenging 2-person team adventure run that incorporates orienteering and other elements.- Participants must be at least 12 yrs old to compete on the Viking Course and at least 16 yrs old to compete on the Barbarian Course.  

- If you have never been orienteering competitively before, we encourage you to participate with a friend who has, or to sign up for the Navigation Clinic on July 21st and run the Viking course.  ***This is an advanced event, and it is highly recommended that youth and beginners attend the Orienteering clinic before attempting to compete in Raid the Sanctuary!

Course Fees - Viking Course (5 plus km): $20/Team ($5 team discount for members)Barbarian Course (10 plus km): $40/Team ($5 team discount for members)***Note: Only one person per team needs to be a Westmoreland or HVO member to receive member discount for team registration.

An orienteering meet will be held on September 30th for all levels (beginner - advanced).  Visit the Westmoreland Sanctuary website for details in August.
