The early morning fatal crash on Route 133 in New Castle took the life of a 26-year-old, police told The Journal News.
The Brewster man died when his car hit two utility poles, TJN said.

Police have not identified the driver.
Route 133 at Seven Bridges Road is expected to remain closed until at least early evening Tuesday while crews repair the utility pole damage, New Castle police said.

State transportation officials recommend these detours:
- EB Rte 133 use Seven Bridges Rd as an alternate.
- WB Rte 133 use Crow Hill Rd to Rte 100 SB to Seven Bridges Rd

Millwood Road is closed between Seven Bridges Road and Longview Lane, New Castle police said in a NIXLE message at 6:30AM.
“This closure will last for several hours. Plan ahead and use an alternate route.”
The report on Kempter’s Fire Wire is of a fatal motor vehicle accident at about 1:30AM. One person found, Con Ed notified.
