First Congregational Church to Host Third Annual Wine Tasting Seminar

CHAPPAQUA, NY — First Congregational Church is hosting a wine tasting seminar with renowned Master of Wine Roger Bohmrich on Nov. 12.

This is the church's third wine tasting seminar fundraiser, and it is always an educational and informative event with Bohmrich, organizers said.

Bohmrich became one of the first U.S. Masters of Wine (or MW) in 1993 and led the formation of the Institute of Masters of Wine (North America), where he served as its first president.

He has appeared often as a speaker at wine festivals and conferences, and his articles and writings have been published in the Journal of Wine Research, Wine Business Monthly, Santé and other publications. His activities extend to teaching advanced wine courses and seminars for the French Wine Society.

Bohmrich has traveled extensively around the world of wine, and in recent years he has judged competitions in Argentina, Turkey and China.
