Fox Lane Pins Greeley

Foxes blow out Quakers, 75-12.

Fox Lane beat Horace Greeley 75-12 in front of a packed house at Greeley's campus.

Foxes Head Coach Joe Amuso sees youth in the Quakers. "Greeley has a young team," he said.

Amuso felt that his squad is at a higher skill and knowledge level than Greeley's. "Our kids are pretty much experienced," he said.

The Quakers' Jon Russo (125) who was pinned by the Foxes' Patrick Fay, agrees that Fox Lane is a strong opponent.

"They are a tough team," he said.

Going up against Fay was good competition for Russo. "It was a learning experience," he said.

Fox Lane was victorious in all but two matches in the competition. The two lone scores on the day for the Quakers came from Scott Wymbs (152), who took down the Foxes' John Giallorenzi, winning 16-0 on an individual scale. In his weight class, Quaker Andrew Lefkowitz (189) took down Fox Lane's Zach Patierno.
